5th sri pada pilgrimage

Sri pada is one of my favorite places to visit in my life. Even though I am non-religious, I am embarking on this journey with great passion and devotion.

This time we used siripa karuna on February 21st. I went with three of my friends. Earlier, we used to take the train from Badulla to Hatton. But this time, the railway tracks were destroyed due to Cyclone Ditwa. so we had to use bus transport. At 7:30 in the morning, we went from Badulla to Nuwara Eliya, from Nuwara Eliayata to Hatton and then from Hatton we entered Nallathanniya. No matter how difficult the journey was, we left with great enthusiasm because the end was beautiful. At like 4pm, it was raining heavily in Nallathanniya.

We went to the resting area, ate, took a shower and by 7pm we began to climb Sri pada in the rain. Finally, at 1:30 in the morning, we were able to go to the Maluwa. After worshiping, we couldn't rest in the upper courtyard because it was full of people due to the rain. so we started to go down slowly. We were able to return to Nallathanniya by 6 in the morning. Felt a little tired, but I feel lighter because I went to the upper courtyard. It's my favorite place to visit in my life.

so I hope to visit Adam's peak again one day.
